In my last course for my Education technology Masters at UBC I designed a
Moodle course that embraced constructionist theory. I have attached the
link to my blog that outlines why and what I did for this course.

This blog is a space for discussion surrounding constructivist strategies in the classroom. This is the perfect place for you to share your successes and ideas using constructivist strategies. Share examples of lessons or unit. I challenge you to create a constructivist lesson plan and share it to this blog!

Having been a teacher for 26 years now, my mind is reeling with the
drastic changes in education. One of the most promising areas, in my
opinion, is the area of constructivism. Students creating their own
understanding of the material makes so much sense. Watching students
apply their skills in a collaborative setting goes to the heart of how
humans learn in a natural way. Take away the notions that school is
only "open" from 9:00 to 3:00 and opportunities for learning widen
incredibly! Link this to all the amazing technology we have at our
hands and you really have power to go beyond the old "drill and kill"
rote-style learning. Challenges remain, but it appears education is
evolving.
